About Us:
The Mt. Pleasant Oiler Athletic Boosters, commonly referred to as the "Sports Boosters", are volunteers (parents/guardians and community members) who have an interest in supporting the athletic activities at Mount Pleasant High School and West Intermediate. The Sports Boosters organize fundraisers, work the concession stands at athletic events, act as team liaisons, and generally support the athletic programs at both schools. We encourage and expect good sportsmanship from our student-athletes, coaches, parents/guardians, and community. We strive to make the Mount Pleasant Public Schools an exceptional learning environment and take great pride in the accomplishments of our Oilers in the classroom and within the competitive arena. Our Purpose:
To support all phases of the Oiler athletic program in order to enhance opportunities for student-athletes;
To assist in the identification and development of athletic program needs in order to maximize the opportunities for student-athletes;
To promote within the Mount Pleasant Public School system and the Mount Pleasant community a greater awareness of the accomplishments and needs of the athletic programs;
To develop close ties between parents/guardians, student-athletes, the Sports Booster organization, and MPHS and West Intermediate staff members;
To increase the participation level of parents/guardians and student-athletes in the athletic programs at MPHS and West Intermediate;
To lend assistance and support, where needed, to the MPHS and West Intermediate staff as they carry out various athletic functions;
To project a positive image of Mt. Pleasant Public Schools; and
To assist the Mt. Pleasant Public Schools in providing a desirable place for student-athletes, their families, and staff members.
